How to Care for Your Jewelry

With the right care, your Oxfordum pieces will last for years. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your jewelry looking its best.

Gold Vermeil & Gold-Filled

• Remove before swimming, showering, or exercising.
• Avoid perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals directly on the piece.
• Store in a cool, dry place — ideally in a pouch or jewelry box.
• Clean with a soft dry cloth after wearing.

Sterling Silver

• Silver naturally tarnishes over time — this is normal.
• Polish with a silver cloth to restore shine.
• Store in an airtight bag or box to slow tarnishing.
• Avoid exposure to chlorine, saltwater, and sulfur.

Stainless Steel (Watches & Accessories)

• Wipe with a damp cloth to remove sweat and oils.
• Safe for daily wear — highly resistant to tarnish and scratching.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Waterproof & Tarnish Resistance

Many of our pieces feature PVD coating or rhodium plating for enhanced durability. Check individual product pages for specific care instructions. As a general rule: remove jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater.
